Kentucky -- There are a variety of prospects at different levels flying under the radar in Kentucky. Today we have decided to highlight some of the top 2019 prospects that deserve more love heading into the beginning of their senior season.

Jamarion Sharp 2019 7’0 C Hopkinsville HS
It’s not very often that the state of Kentucky produces a legit 7 footer but we have one in Western Kentucky that is improving at a rapid pace. A late bloomer with huge upside, Sharp has the length, motor and timing to become an elite shot blocker. Although his recruitment is still relatively quiet we believe that Sharpe is a MM prospect and after a year or two in a legit college weight program he will have All Conference potential.

Keaton Simpson 2019 5’6 PG Bryan Station HS
Don’t let the size fool you, Simpson is as tough and physical of a guard as you will find in the state this season. Lightning quick with a great handle, Simpson is almost impossible to keep out of the lane. Simpson also showed improvement on his outside shooting this summer. Replacing two all-region guards in Eric Boone and Terrance Clayton-Murphy will be tough but if anyone is ready for that challenge, it is Keaton Simpson.

Alex Holley 2019 6’5 SF Ballard HS
A bouncy wing with length, Holley was forced to play out of the post last season on a senior heavy Ballard team. We expect Holley to thrive this season back in his natural position and comfort one on the wing, where he will be a nightmare matchup in the 7th region. While his ball handling needs to improve, Holley shows a consistent stroke out to 18 ft and is at his best when getting out in transition for easy buckets. Holley and 2020 forward Rashad Bishop should keep Ballard in contention in the 7th region.

Maurice Tolley 2019 5’9 SG Butler HS
One of the top 3 point shooters in the state Tolley has consistent range out to beyond the high school 3-point line. While playing with three talented seniors at Butler who all earned college scholarships, it was Tolley who quietly led the Bears in scoring at 14.5 points per game. It would not be surprising to our staff to see him increase that average to 20+ PPG this season. While he lacks size the lefty’s scoring ability and toughness make him a legit D2 prospect.

Darius Osborne 2019 6’7 SF PRP HS
An active wing with a huge wingspan, Osborne has greatly improved his skill set since last season. This big wing will be the focal point for a rebuilding PRP team this season and he has a chance to become an All-6th Region caliber player. Osborne does his best work out of the high post where he is an exceptional passer and has the ability to blow-by slower defenders. We would like to see Osborne show more effort and toughness on the defensive side of the floor but there is no question he is currently a solid D2/NAIA prospect.

Kyle Stivers 2019 6’3 SG Franklin County HS
After lighting up our NUR Elite Exposure Camp in June, Stivers continued his hot shooting  in July playing with Evansville based AAU team Pocket City. A pure scorer with good size and athleticism, Stivers is poised for a big senior season in which we believe he will be one of the top scorers in the 11th region. Stivers is a versatile prospect who has shown the ability to play PG in spurts and is an underrated passer. If he continues to improve defensively and plays to his full potential this season, we anticipate Stivers having plenty of college options in the spring.
