Kentucky has always been known as a great college basketball state. Every year it seems we have a successful team at the collegiate level. Here are a few coaches from some of the programs that stood out last season in the bluegrass state. 

A.W. Hamilton - Eastern Kentucky

Hamilton led EKU to the CBI championship game falling to C-USA’s University of Charlotte.  It marked the first time in program history EKU appeared in a National Post Season Championship game. Their 23 wins led all Division 1 teams in the state of Kentucky and Hamilton became the first coach in EKU history to win 12 plus conference games three times.  

Chris Briggs - Georgetown College 

Briggs is no stranger to success, once again leading Georgetown to a deep NAIA tournament run. The Tigers won an eye popping 30 games and only lost 6. Jack Ohmer poured in 33 points to lead the Tigers back into FAB Four before falling to Indiana Tech.

Ginger High Colvin - Campbellsville University 

Ginger led Campbellsville to a 31 win season and another deep tournament run. Ginger was also named National Coach of the Year.  Kaitlynn Wilks earned NAIA first team All-American honors. 

Juli Fulks - Transylvania 

Fulks led Transylvania to a National Championship defeating Christopher Newport in Dallas, Texas. It was the perfect ending to a 33-0 undefeated season.  Juli has built a Division III powerhouse in Lexington, Kentucky.
