Cam Jackson Classic Top Performers

This past weekend I traveled to Bowling Green, KY to scout at the Vision Elite Cam Jackson Shootout. Here were some of the prospects that stood out and caught my eye.

CKY Vision Elite

2024 6’3 PG DaShawn Hall

Has a quick first step and good speed with the ball to blow by his man. Finishes well with either hand at the basket. Made some tough shots throughout the day. Can be a scorer or a floor general when needed.

2024 6’6 F Nolan Wahl

Wahl led his team in scoring this weekend 2 of the 3 games and did it by scoring inside and out. He is a versatile player offensively. He can post you up and go to work or play his game from the perimeter as well. He definitely showed up and showed out in this event.

2024 6’1 SG Drake Skeen

Skeen has a burner with a full clip. He shoots the ball from 3 at a high level and showed that ability this weekend. Makes them curling off of screens, off the bounce, or a set shot.

2024 6’3 G Owen Barnes

A strong guard that does a little bit of everything for his team on both ends of the floor. Scored is consistently from all over, rebounded well for his size, and defended inside-out.

Louisville Storm

2023 6’3 CG Myles Jones

A shifty, sneaky athletic guard that can create for himself and others. Showed ability to get to the basket and finish in traffic. Has a good jumper from 3 and can knock down the pull up mid-range when stopping on a dime. Exceled in transition and gets end to end fast.

2023 6’7 F Shekibrahim Faye

Ran the floor well for his size. Was a monster on the glass and finished good around the glass. Has decent athleticism for his size. Still developing his raw offensive skillset, but has upside and potential.

2023 6’3 G Jordan Williamson

Williamson was in his bag this past weekend. He is an athletic Combo guard that scored consistently from all 3 levels. Not only is he a scorer, he showed his court vision and passing ability, finding the open teammates on multiple trips down the floor.

2023 6’4 F Tahj Meadows

Uses his strength to player bigger than he is at his position. Can bully his defender in the paint and scored some off the bounce. One of the strongest kids on the court. Rebounded well and defends multiple positions.

Kentucky Supreme

2023 6’3 G Jamir Ford

A strong athletic combo that attacks the basket aggressively. Finishes through contact. Defends at a high level. Rebounds very well for his position. Lockdown defender.

2023 6’8 F Benyamin Kulanji

Very RAW; but has a good frame that will fill out nicely at the next level. Runs the floor well and showed off his athleticism with a few eye-opening plays by pinning shots high on the glass with good timing. Cleaned up on the boards all day long rebounding in and out of his area. Offense is close to the basket, but I like his upside.

2024 6’0 SG Dillon Ritchey

Ritchey was lighting it up from the perimeter showing that he is truly a pure shooter. You cannot give him any room at all or he will make you pay. Had a game where he hit six 3’s.

2024 5’10 PG Michael Loftis

A quick, crafty PG that is a leader on his team. Not only does he score it in a variety of ways, but he has a tight handle, and makes sure to get his teammates involved. Already holds an NAIA offer from North American.

2024 6’4 SF Dallas Mercer

The lefty is an intriguing prospect with good length. He showed a good set shot on Saturday knocking down multiple jumpers. He causes problems with his length defensively. Rebounded well for his position.

2024 6’4 W Damon Howard

Another prospect that has a lot of upside. Has good length and plays hard on both ends. He can slash and get a bucket at the rim, but also showcased a capable jump shot. Defends multiple positions. Howard is one for college coaches to keep an eye on.

L4G – Love 4 The Game

2024 6’5 SF Xavier Taylor

A long, wiry F that can has a high motor and is a good athlete. An excellent defender that can lockdown on the perimeter and get in the post and defend as well. He is a slasher offensively that finishes above at and above the rim. If he can continue to improve his jump shot his stock will continue to rise.

2024 5’10 PG Donovan Wright

Wright is a PG that is lightning fast with the ball in his hands. By far the fastest player end to end in transition at this event. He sees the floor and makes passes that put his teammates in the best position to score. Really loved his IQ and playmaking ability.

2024 6’2 G Noah Sowders

Sowders scored the ball from all over and did so every game I watched him. A very good shooter from anywhere on the court. He showed that he is not just a set shooter, but can create for himself when putting the ball on the floor.

Gremlins

2027 6’5 SF Jerrick Martin

This young man is a physical specimen. He is not built like your average 2027 player. He uses his physicality to bully smaller players in the post. He is a rebound machine and a versatile defender. His offense is still improving but he is at the top of my list of players to keep an eye on. Upside is crazy.

2027 6’0 PG Jailyn Crane

Crane is a highly skilled PG with a good IQ and great feel. He does not get rushed with the ball, plays at his own pace. He has tight handles and a quick first step. This young man sees play development early and makes the right reads. He can score the ball when he wants, but is a big-time setup guy for teammates.

Moss Elite

2027 G Tylan Spalding

Early on Tylan was being a facilitator and made a lot of unselfish plays. Then, when games got tight he put his team on his back offensively and scored in bunches. A tough kid to stay in front of as he showed blowing by his man possession after possession.

2027 G Myles Stone

A sniper that can shoot and make it from deep range and doesn’t hesitate, if you give him any space he will pull the trigger.

BAB ELITE

2027 G Tyler Bartley

Barthey is a crafty kid that sees the floor and can thread the needle on passes and scored the ball in a variety of ways. A lot of skill in this young man’s game.

Indiana Ambition

2027 5’10 PG Joe Hostetler

The lefty PG from Indiana was playing with a lot of swag. No matter who was guarding him… he was going to give them a bucket or drop a dime off to an open teammate. Constantly got two feet in the paint making the defense adjust and making the right read. Shot the ball well from 3 and has a nice floater in his bad as well.

Vision Elite 2027

2027 6’4 W Andrew Terry

Terry has a good combination of height and length at the wing position for his age. He is the tallest kid on his team so he has to play in the post some, but has guard skills and is a mismatch inside and out. Scores it in the post when needed, but can go to work off the bounce from the perimeter. Has a good jump shot and great potential to be a really good player.

2027 5'10 PG Caleb Creech

A savvy PG for his age and had defenders on skates. Quick off the bounce, finishes well around the rim, and a great shot from 3. He has active hands on defense causing his man problems.
