WHEELING, Wv. -- One of the best stops for high school basketball every year is the Cancer Research Classic in Wheeling, WV. Doc Merrick and his staff do everything in their power to provide a first class event with great hospitality. Throughout the years many future division 1 and NBA players have come through the event, and this year was loaded once again.

As follows are some of our top performers from this weekend:

Nassir Little – 2018 SF – Orlando Christian Prep (FL) – North Carolina commit
The North Carolina commit looked dominate during his one game at this year’s CRC. He finished with 35 points, showcasing his power in the paint and an improved jumper from the perimeter. Nassir is a mismatch for most high school players and it’s easy to see why many consider him to be a potential one-and-done player at North Carolina. His development of perimeter skills has allowed him to grow into the popular combo forward role that many colleges crave.

Bol Bol – 2018 F/C – Findlay Prep (NV) – Oregon commit
Our staff isn’t sure that we’ve ever seen a more unique prospect than the son of long-time NBA player Manute Bol. The Oregon commit stands at 7’3 and possesses a unique blend of skill, length, and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Just when you think he’s going in for a simple layup, he can finish with authority around the rim. With range out to 3 and soft touch in the paint, Bol is an efficient scorer.

Josh Green – 2019 G – IMG Academy (FL)
A native of Australia, Josh Green had an excellent game on Friday in a win over Orlando Christian Prep. He is versatile on the offensive end and can fill a variety of roles for his team. At times, he was the primary scorer in their offense and later in the game, became a distributor. Green is very hard to stop in transition, as he can pass or finish at the rim with authority. He is a high level recruit in 2019.

RJ Barrett – 2018 G/Wing – Montverde Academy (FL) – Duke commit
The nation’s top player did not disappoint, nearly posting a triple-double in both outings – including a big win over La Lumiere in front of a packed house on Saturday afternoon. He makes the game look so effortless and can get to the rim with ease. Playing alongside high level players allows him to rack up assists while showing off his passing vision. He will enter Duke in the fall with a chance to make an immediate impact as a starter.

EJ Montgomery – 2018 PF – Wheeler (GA)
One of the top uncommitted players in the country, the former Auburn commit looked fantastic versus a tough Webster Groves (MO) team. He scores the ball with ease from mid-range and in, while showing the ability to play in the high or low post. The lefty can shoot the ball well with range out to 3, and based on his play this season, should have some of the best schools in the country calling in the spring.

Brent Price – 2018 G – Wheeling Central
This strong guard made a big impression on us on Saturday morning in a matchup with Robby Carmody. He is a willing defender, can get to the rim, and has good passing skills. It is hard to see why he still has NO offers, and is someone for low-majors and D2 schools to track as they look for players to finish up their classes.

Darius Days – 2018 PF – IMG Academy (FL) – LSU commit
LSU basketball has made a splash on the recruiting trail under Will Wade as they have landed multiple 5-star prospects, but it shouldn’t be understated how good of a player he is getting in Days. The big man plays inside-out, where he can step out to the line and drain 3s with consistency or finish in the paint. Darius rebounds out of his area and has great hands.

Andrew Nembhard – 2018 PG – Montverde Academy (FL) – Florida Signee
The next in line at Florida, Nembhard was phenomenal in a win over La Lumiere on Saturday. He hit 3s, scored in the paint, and made the game easier for those around him. His basketball IQ is off the charts, and shares similarities to current Minnesota Timberwolves PG Tyus Jones. It won’t be long before he earns major playing time under Mike White.

Kyler Edwards – 2018 G – Findlay Prep (NV) – Texas Tech Signee
It looks like Texas Tech got a good one in Kyler Edwards. The scoring guard really had it going on Saturday afternoon and finished with 25 points in a big win over IMG Academy. He can score going to the rim but can fill it up from deep as well. The 2 guard should be someone who makes Chris Beard happy over the next 4 years and helps Texas Tech continue their rise in the Big 12.

Isaiah Stewart – 2019 C – La Lumiere (IN)
When we saw Isaiah play for the first time this spring with the Albany City Rocks, we loved him. Since then, not much has changed. The tough interior presence is a great rebounder, with good hands, who can finish in a variety of post moves on the block. He impacts the game without constantly needing touches and should only trend upward as he is just scratching the surface.

Jahmius Ramsey – 2019 SG – IMG Academy (FL)
Somewhat of a late bloomer, Jahmius had a strong summer and is carrying over into being one of the best players for a loaded IMG squad. This strong and athletic scoring guard has an explosive first step and gets to the rim with ease. Ramsey is as tough as they come and can pass the ball as well. He has began to breakout and will be a priority recruit for many high major schools in the Big 12 and SEC.

Hunter Dickinson – 2020 C – DeMatha (MD)
The young big man has been steadily improving since the first time we saw him in the spring. Hunter understands how he can be effective and sticks to it. He’s got great hands and soft touch around the basket, with the ability to step out with range to about 15 feet. At times, he was completely dominate in the paint. Playing for the storied DeMatha Catholic program, he has a chance to be recruited by the best of the best as he gets older.
