2020 PG Jalen Johnson

SUN PRARIE, Wi. -- Hands down the best prospect in the gym this weekend at the loaded Crossroads Elite camp was 2020 Sun Prarie (WI) PG Jalen Johnson. The guard made the trip down with something to prove and let almost everything in the gym from the coaches to the media buzzing with his play.

When he was younger, he primarily played on the wing because he was so much bigger than everyone else. He continued to work on his handle and entered his freshman year at Sun Prarie as a lead guard. Ever since, he's been playing PG and more experience will do nothing but help.

At 6’6 he’s got the size coaches die for in a lead guard, to go along with good playmaking skills. He sees the game a few moves ahead of everyone else and when engaged, is hard to stop from getting into the paint. Jalen is a streaky shooter from outside, but when hot can rain them from 3.

“I try to model my playmaking skills like Lonzo Ball. He makes all the players around him better with his abilities and I want to be like that.” As he continues to gain more experience as a lead guard, he has a chance o be a deadly offensive player.

He has an early offer from Wisconsin, along with interest from North Carolina, UCLA, Iowa, Minnesota, and Marquette. This fall he hopes to get down to North Carolina for an unofficial visit. He is just scratching the surface of his potential as a player and we think it’s safe to say he will have his choice of some great schools.

This summer he will lead an underrated Wisconsin Playground Warriors 15U squad on the UAA circuit.
