PLAINFIELD, In. -- We spent this weekend at one of the best spots in the country to see kids you’ve never seen before. Adam Shoulders and Kurt Stubbs do a great job at discovering and accumulating talent, often before anyone else outside the players region. The camp was loaded and the games were competitive. ESPN director of scouting Paul Biancardi taught the campers some parts of the game where they were lacking.

This camp always has great talent, such as Michael Porter Jr., Kevin Knox, and Jeremiah Tilmon, and this year was no different.

As follows are just some of the top players we saw this weekend:

Dominiq Penn – 2020 PG – Dublin Coffman (OH)
The son of legendary college guard Scoonie Penn, who starred at Boston College and Ohio State, looks like Columbus’s best in 2020. This lead guard has very high basketball IQ and makes the right plays as a pass first point. He was great in getting teammates involved throughout the weekend and scored when he couldn’t. Stony Brook has offered early and more will follow.

Dante Maddox – 2020 G – Bloom Township (IL)
A guard who plays with a game beyond his years, Dante should be mentioned among the best guards in his class in Chicago. He is a lethal shooter off the bounce or with his feet set, and effectively used ballscreens to create for himself. Don’t sleep on this guard, as he will lead a young and talented Bloom Township team in the fall.

Allen Udemadu – 2020 PF – Christian Life Center Academy (TX)
This big fella has come onto the scene strong with a talented WACG 15U team this spring, earning a birth to the 15U Peach Jam with Allen as the interior force in the paint. This weekend he was physically dominate vs his peers and couldn’t be kept out of his spots. He has great touch in the paint and is a talent that must be tracked.

Chris Hodges – 2021 F – Schaumburg (IL)
We were not impressed by any rising freshman more than this tough player. He is a strong and more physically advanced than his peers at this stage. His footwork on the block is good and he finishes around the rim. He will have an immediate impact in high school basketball this fall.

Martice Mitchell – 2020 F – Bloom Township (IL)
A combo forward perfectly suited for today’s college game, Martice broke onto the scene this weeknd with his ability to knockdown shots from deep while alos playing on the glass and finishing around the rim. He has a great frame and his body will fill out as he gets older. The city of Chicago will learn about him sooner rather than later.

Isaiah Jackson – 2020 F – Lutheran Northwest (MI)
Among the players with the most upside in the gym stood Isaiah. Teaming with some of his AAU runningmates from the family, he was extremely effective at the forward spots. He can finish high above the rim on lobs but also get dirty on the offensive boards. His ability to step out and hit 3s opens the paint for him.

Davion Bradford – 2020 C – CBC (MO)
Countless players tried to keep Davion out of the paint over the course of the weekend and could not succeed. His game doesn’t match his physical tools yet, but that doesn’t stop him from being an effective finisher in the paint, rebounding, and altering shots around the rim. He is going to be very good.

Brandon Boston - 2020 G - Norcross (GA)
The longest and most versatile guard in attendance, it was a joy to watch Brandon compete on both ends of the court. He’s so smooth going to the hoop and uses his length to finish over defenders. His outside shot is good but needs consistency. Brandon has the talent to be a top-20 player in the country 1 day, his upside is huge.

Jalen Terry - 2020 PG - Flint Beecher (MI)
The guard who made the biggest impression on the camp staff was this small but tough as nails guard from Flint, Michigan. Jalen was the most competitive player in attendance and hounded opposing guards defensively. He is explosive athletically and his ability to run the pick and roll was impressive. He is one of the best players in a seemingly loaded 2020 class in Michigan.

Luke Kasubke - 2020 G/W - Chaminade (MO)
A smooth scoring wing that plays at Bradley Beal’s alma mater and for his AAU program, Luke made a good first impression this weekend. He’s wired to get buckets, as he can let it fly from deep or take his defender to the hoop when they play him too tight. He will be a very good player in time.
