ATLANTA, Ga. -- For the last 3 years, we have started our season the weekend following Thanksgiving in Atlanta, Georgia at Chris Williams' loaded Holiday Hoopsgiving event. He always seems to get a majority of the best players and teams from the Peach State to accompany some really fun out of town teams. The hospitality at this event is top-notch and the atmosphere is crazy as well. 

Headlined by a huge matchup of the top senior point guards in the country (Trevon Duval vs Collin Sexton) and their talented supporting casts, this year's headlining game has a chance to be one of the best games we watched all season. 

Trevon Duval – 2017 PG – IMG Academy (FL)
Trevon was absolutely awesome on Friday night. He wasn’t out to score but was out to get the win. He in unstoppable going off the bounce and his ability to adjust in mid-air is simply unfair at times. He took over the game down the stretch with both his ability to score at the rim and the ability to set up teammates for easy looks. He finished with 24 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals. Duke offered him after the game and he recently set a final 5 of Arizona, Baylor, Duke, Kansas, and Seton Hall.

Collin Sexton – 2017 PG – Pebblebrook (GA) - Alabama Signee
Rarely have we seen a cult following like the one Collin Sexton has in Atlanta. He single handedly brought the crowd back anytime Pebblebrook got in a hole. His scoring arsenal is extremely impressive and there’s few players in the country who are crafty like Collin. He had 39 points on only 18 shots and fought until the very last possession to bring his team a win. Alabama looks like they stole one from the powerhouse schools.

Emmitt Williams – 2018 PF – IMG Academy (FL)
There was not a more dominant player in the gym yesterday than Emmitt. He controlled the paint on both ends of the court while showing off his high level athleticism and ability to block shots. He had a loud 21 points o a variety of dunks to go with the 9 boards and 5 huge blocks. Emmitt looked like a very high level recruit in 2018 and one we would love on our team any day

Silvio De Sousa – 2018 C – IMG Academy (FL)
Simply put, Silvio came out and did what he does every single game: played hard, dunked a lot, and was tough in the paint. He is a high level finisher around the rim and his frame is super strong. De Sousa showed flashes of a post game with a hook over his left shoulder early in the game. If his skill develops, watch out.

Elijah Weaver – 2018 PG – Oldsmar Christian (FL)
This shifty lefty lead guard was extremely impressive in a win over The Cannon School (NC) showing off his entire arsenal on both ends of the floor. Elijah compiled a crazy stat line of 37 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. He is a high level player at the guard spot and his playmaking is coming along as well. The 2018 PG has a chance to be one of the best at his position nationally.

Rayshaun Hammonds – 2017 F – Norcross (GA) - Georgia Signee
Rayshaun had a tough matchup on Friday, having to deal with Greenforest’s plethora of talented big men, but came out to a hot start on Saturday. The lefty big man can shoot with range and his skill level is extremely high. We love his ability to get a rebound and then push the ball in transition. He is one of the best recruits Georgia has gotten in quite some time.

Ashton Hagans – 2019 PG – Newton (GA)
As soon as the first few minutes of the game went by, it was evident Ashton was going to dominate for 32 minutes. He couldn’t be stopped going to the rim and even had his 3 ball falling. He led Newton to an absolute beating of Liberty County and his playmaking skills for himself and others were the main reason why. He’s looking like an elite point guard recruit in the 2019 class. His final stat line was 32 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and no turnovers.

Isaiah Miller – 2017 G – Newton (GA)
A player we had never seen or heard of coming into the day, it was tough not to like what Isaiah brings to the court. He is undersized for an off guard but makes up for it with extreme athleticism. Ashton Hagans and company found him consistently in transition throughout the day and he finished with a easy 31 points.

Will Richardson – 2018 G – Liberty County (GA)
Definitely the surprise player of the weekend, we expected to see Davion Mitchell ball out but instead Will Richardson stole the spotlight on Friday with 33 points then continued his emergence on Saturday with a 20 point, 8 rebound, 7 assist, 6 steal game. This long wiry guard scores at all 3 levels and is an absolute bucket getter. He looks to be a player who will blow up during this HS season playing alongside Davion.

Javon Greene – 2017 G – Henry County (GA) – George Mason Signee
We walked into the gym just in time to see maybe the best scoring performance we will see all season. Javon Greene was unconscious, scoring 58 points to lead his team back from a huge 20 point deficit in the first half to a big Henry County win. Down the stretch he had the ball in his hands every play and scored from deep and converted free throws all game. George Mason looks like they stole one out of Georgia.

Henry Coleman – 2020 G – Benedictine Prep (VA)
Stepping into the back gym to checkout an intriguing Benedictine squad and were thoroughly surprised to find Henry, a very impressive freshman. He showed off his big time potential on the wing as he attacked the basket, played extremely hard, and made smart plays. He is one of the best freshmen we’ve seen thus far and we look forward to tracking his progress.

Christopher Agbo – 2017 PF/C – Covenant Christian (GA)
This big fella is an force in the paint and he looks like he should be playing defensive end on the gridiron. He may have lost the game but he posted an impressive 18 point, 21 rebound game and looked like a man amongst boys on the court. He is currently unsigned and some big conference schools were in the gym to watch his performance. Chris will make some coach very happy in the future.

Kentravious Jones – 2017 PF/C – Westside-Macon (GA) - Xavier Signee
Kentravious came out with a purpose on Saturday and that purpose was to dominate the paint. Mission successful. He has very soft touch and knows how to use his wide frame to gain position in both offensive and rebounding situations. Norcross’s talented bigs played good but Kentravious was a big reason why his team was in the game till the very end. He finished with 27 points and 8 rebounds, showing why Xavier got themselves a player who can be a serious problem in the future.
