Freddie Dilione is one of the most under-rated players that needs to be heard about nationally! The 6’6 Junior PG from Fayetteville, North Carolina was on a tear this season at Word of God (NC). With his tall/long size at Point Guard, Freddie does a tremendous job of getting to the rim and finishing very well. He is a capable shooter who is great at making plays for his teammates and he plays both sides of the ball well. His IQ is solid and he has a tremendous ability of seeing the floor and finding teammates. Overall, Freddie has the potential to be a GREAT prospect to get for High-Major Division 1 Schools! A stat sheet stuffer who stays consistent with it each game and is capable of getting triple doubles.

Freddie recently told us that he felt pretty good about how he played this season but he felt disappointed in the overall turnout of their season. He told us, “I feel like I played well this season, and I am glad people are finally starting to somewhat recognize what I can really do on the court.” Because of his exceptional play so far, the Junior PG has already picked up offers from Eastern KentuckyFlorida InternationalNorth Carolina A&TLSUXavierPenn StateHoustonVCUProvidenceCharlestonWake ForestVirginia TechSeton HallUNC-CharlotteETSUSt. John’s, Tennessee and North Carolina State! Out of all his offers, he has already been on visits to VCU, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. Freddie told us he has learned a lot as he has been going through the recruiting process, and it has really taught him to remain patient. College Coaches and fans can catch him in action this Spring/Summer on the Adidas Circuit playing with Team Loaded (NC).

When it comes to what Freddie is intrigued by from schools, he told us that he is really looking for a coaching staff that cares for their players and a program that has a history of winning. As far as a commitment date, Freddie said he will continue being patient but he expects to make a college decision early on in his recruitment so stay tuned! We look forward to keeping up with his game and his recruitment as time moves forward.
