In Tuesday's Report we mentioned that SEC schools Auburn, Alabama, and Mississippi State had each landed a heralded recruit within the week, and now national semifinalist Kentucky has joined the ranks. The Wildcats picked up a verbal from four-star Sacha Killeya-Jones, a six-foot-ten power forward in Chapel Hill, NC.
Killeya-Jones was once a UVA pledge but in June he reopened his recruitment, and garnered the attention of Kansas, UConn, and North Carolina among others before settling on Big Blue Nation.
“I know going to play for Coach Cal at Kentucky means I will be playing against great players in practice," he told ESPN. “That’s what I was looking for, because it will help me develop as a player and prepare me for the games. I know I have to earn my playing time.”
This is not the first, and certainly not the last time you see this headline in 2015, but the shine of LSU forward Ben Simmons continues to grow bigger and bigger by the week, as his tip in on Tuesday helped lead LSU over the Queensland All-Stars at the buzzer. The top-ranked forward was his normal self in the stat sheet in the win, finishing with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 steals as the Tigers defeated the Queensland All-Stars 91-88. LSU is currently 2-1 on their five-game Australian tour.

By August, most of the transfer moves made by college basketball players are done, but the high school transfer window still is very wide open, and another piece of the puzzle fell into place as 1Nation guard Devon Daniels announced he will be transferring to Prolific Prep.
