Prolific Prep (CA) vs Premiere Prep (AZ)

Last weekend, NextUpHayden took the trip down the road to Mercer County High School in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to check out the match-up between Prolific Prep (CA) and Premiere Prep (AZ). Prolific Prep secured the dominant win on Sunday afternoon 113-85 behind big time performances from 2023 PG Trey Green (Xavier Commit/ #64 Prospect in the NextUpRecruits Top 150), 2023 PG Aden Holloway (Auburn Commit/ #25 Prospect in the NextUpRecruits Top 150), & 2023 C Michael Nwoko (Miami (FL) Commit/ #148 Prospect in the NextUpRecruits Top 150).

Outside of the seniors, 2024 C Yves Missi (Baylor Commit/ #15 Prospect in the NextUpRecruits Top 100), & 2024 SF Zion Sensley (Undecided/ #72 Prospect in the NextUpRecruits Top 100) came up big as well for Prolific. Zion came right off the bench and brought the perfect energy for his team to feed off as he came in with a lot of confidence and started knocking down the deep ball.

The most dominant performance however came from the 2026 CG Tyran Stokes, who has been mentioned as the #1 player in the country for the Freshman Class. It was the first look at him in person, and he definitely did not disappoint finishing with 17 Points (6-10 from the field), 8 Rebounds, 8 assists, 2 Blocks, & 2 Steals in 28 minutes of play.

Zion's Recruiting Update:

After the game, NextUpHayden was able to catch up with the 4-Star 6'9 Wing Zion Sensley to get the latest on how his recruitment has been going.

The San Francisco, California native says that LSU, USC, Alabama, St. Mary's, San Diego, Arizona State, Oregon, & California have been the schools pursuing him the hardest as of late. Out of these schools, he has already taken an unofficial visit to California.

California Visit:

The 6'9 Wing said "The visit to Cal went well and I really enjoyed it. I got to watch a practice, I toured the facilities and I got to try on a jersey. I sat in for a practice so I could see how they run and so I could kind of picture myself there. I enjoyed that visit a lot."

Who is building the best relationships with him?

LSU, USC, Alabama, St. Mary's, San Diego, Arizona State, Oregon, & California were among the names that Zion gave for the schools he has built the strongest relationships with. He said that those 8 schools have done a great job of reaching out to him and his family members consistently.

Future Visits:

As far as upcoming visits go, Zion says that he plans to schedule visits with USC, Alabama, LSU, San Diego, & Arizona State this Spring/Summer when his high school season wraps up.
