With the recent update in the NextUpRecruits Top 150 National Rankings, let's take a look at the best available 2023's who remain in the Top 150:

Best Available 2023’s:

Bronny James (#38 Prospect) – A high IQ facilitator and playmaker off the bounce. He comes with amazing vision, and he has incredible passing skills. Overall, he is great at the catch and shoot wherever he is on the floor with a smooth, fluid jump shot. A solid on-ball defender, he plays hard on both ends of the floor with some toughness to him. 

Recruitment: It has been rumored that Bronny will be choosing between USC, Oregon, & Ohio State for his college decision. He holds multiple offers.

Kris Parker (#92 Prospect) – A long wing who plays with a chip on his shoulder, he can lock-up defensively on the ball. He is great at creating space and he is a consistent shot-maker, but his shot selections can be iffy sometimes. He comes with a high ceiling.

Recruitment: Alabama, Missouri, Villanova, UCF, & Florida have been the schools reported that are currently recruiting him the hardest. He also holds offers from DePaul, NC State, Illinois, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Florida State, St. John’s, LSU, Virginia Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Detroit-Mercy, & Samford.

Tru Washington (#98 Prospect) – A good positional size guard, he is a natural scorer on the offensive end. A lefty that can stop on a dime and pull up on you, he is shifty and a crafty finisher inside through contact. He plays above the rim. He can knockdown the deep ball consistently, and he is great at getting downhill and getting deep into the defense allowing himself to make plays for his teammates. 

Recruitment: It is rumored that Richard Pitino & the New Mexico Lobos lead the way with this prospect. He currently does not have a set date for his commitment. He holds offers from New Mexico, Grand Canyon, Arizona State, LSU, TCU, Washington State, Mississippi State, DePaul, USC, Nebraska, UNLV, Portland, UC Santa Barbara, & Texas

Brady Dunlap (#121 Prospect) – A great two-way player that can bring the ball up and run offense. He scores it well at all 3 levels and does so in bunches. He is the ultimate shooter from outside and in, and off the ball he does a great job of running the floor and getting to his spots and setting up quick for a shot. He is a high-level overall defender who can play great defense in stretches.

Recruitment: He was originally committed to Notre Dame until the latest news of HC Mike Brey retiring at the end of this season. It is rumored that San Diego State now leads the charge in his recruitment. He holds offers from San Diego State, Notre Dame, Loyola-Marymount, Arkansas, USC, Kansas, Xavier, Minnesota, Colorado, Illinois, Washington, Providence, Rice, Nebraska, Pepperdine, Wyoming, & Nevada.

Jaylen Curry (#125 Prospect) – A quick lefty who thrives at getting to the rim and finishing through defenders and around them. He is capable of being a good shooter from outside. He has a tight handle with the ball, and he is shifty making it hard for defenders to stay in front of him. He plays with a high IQ, and he gets after opponents on the ball defensively. 

Recruitment: The rumors indicate that Ole Miss is the leader in his recruitment. He holds offers from Ole Miss, Appalachian State, North Carolina A&T, Xavier, Florida State, Alabama, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Murray State, East Carolina, Old Dominion, South Florida, Western Carolina, & Wichita State. He is scheduled to visit Wichita State on February 14th for their game against SMU. 

NextUpHayden’s Prediction: Ole Miss

 

Parker Friedrichsen (#131 Prospect) – A highly skilled guard with a knack for knocking down the three-ball. He is versatile on offense, and he can do much more than just shoot the ball. He runs extremely hard off screens off the ball, and he cuts with a purpose. He can hit shots off the dribble, and off the catch and shoot situations. He can create space well for himself, allowing him to knockdown his mid-range jumpers with no shot contest. He will need to get stronger, but his IQ and feel for the game is unmatched.

Recruitment: He was originally committed to Notre Dame until the latest news of HC Mike Brey retiring at the end of this season. His recruitment seems to be 100% open at the moment, with no clear favorites as of now. He holds offers from Notre Dame, Nebraska, Davidson, Oklahoma State, Iowa, Purdue, Rice, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Xavier, Missouri, Virginia Tech, Memphis, Oklahoma, Illinois, Tulsa, DePaul, Creighton, Akron, Oral Roberts, Detroit-Mercy, Rider, UTSA, & SMU.

Jazz Gardner (#134 Prospect) – The anchorman on defense, he is a bully inside because he knows how to use his body and size. He is a high-level rim protector, and he is great at tracking the ball off the rim to chase rebounds. He comes with a good frame, and he displays fantastic touch inside around the rim. He can go off either shoulder with his jump hooks around the rim. He can space the floor and knockdown 3’s every once and awhile. 

Recruitment: It is rumored that Texas Tech & Dayton lead the way in this one. He holds offers from Texas Tech, Dayton, USC, Kansas, Houston, Illinois, Pittsburgh, LSU, Arizona State, Virginia Tech, Washington State, Pepperdine, & UC Santa-Barbara.

Kevin Patton Jr. (#139 Prospect) – An explosive athlete who plays with great body control. He has a natural ability for getting to the rim and finishing over defenders with no problem. He comes with great length making him a match-up problem for opponents at his position. He thrives in transition, and he looks to always attack and get downhill. A capable shooter but needs to be more consistent with his shot-making. 

Recruitment: Their seems to be no clear front-runner in this recruitment. He holds offers from Arizona State, Rice, Washington State, San Diego, Santa Clara, & Northern Arizona.
