The Journey 15U

2022 SG Isaac McKneely – Wildcats Select 15U
Not many 15U players had a better weekend than Isaac. The sharpshooter from Poca, WV knocked down a ton of 3s and showed that he was more than a shooter too. He is tough, has good size, and can attack closeouts by the defense. He is a good athlete that finishes above the rim in transition.  For a freshman, he is already one of the best prospects in the state of West Virginia.

2022 C Michael Moore – Wildcats Select 15U
Now standing about 6’8 and starting to grow into his frame, Michael had a productive weekend and showed his combination of length, athleticism, and upside. While he is still raw offensively, he was pretty consistent finishing around the basket. He’s got good hands for a freshman and is active on the glass. As he continues to grow and develop his overall game, he’s got a chance to be a special prospect.

2023 PG Rodney Gallagher – Wildcats Select 15U
Playing up an age group after gaining some national fame for playing alongside Lebron James Jr. on the North Coast Blue Chips, Rodney is one heck of a player in his own right. The young point guard prospect is shifty and his natural feel for the game is advanced. He gets teammates involved, can penetrate the defense with ease, and is a consistent finisher.  Rodney is only going to get better as he gets older.

2022 G Donovan Robinson -  Louisville Magic 15U
A tough hardnosed combo guard, Robinson’s on ball defense was relentless throughout the tournament. His steals and deflections were a huge part of the Magic’s upset victory over Manimal 15U on Sunday. While his jump shot needs to become more consistent there is no doubt Robinson is one of the top sophomores in Northern Kentucky.

2022 PG Hagan Harrison - Louisville Magic 15U
One of the top shooters in the 2022 class, Harrison caught fire on Sunday and knocked down three after three, many of which were contested. Harrison has a solid handle and does not hesitate to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim. If he improves his defensive effort Harrison could develop into one of the top guards in the 2022 Kentucky class.

2022 PF Olajuwon White - Louisville Magic 15U
A bruising post player that embraces contact, White is a load down low and a double digit rebounding threat every time he touches the court. While his conditioning needs to improve, our staff felt like White has developed some post moves and improved his skill set greatly since we last evaluated him.

2022 Andru Markham - Manimal Elite 15U
An athletic lefty wing, Markham has always impressed our staff with his offensive versatility. He has the ability to score at all 3 levels and also has the vertical to play above the rim. The question with Markham has always been confidence and if he can play with more of a chip on his shoulder he could develop into a top 5 player in the KY 2022 class.

2022 Brandon Rayzer - Moore Manimal Elite 15U
A lengthy SG with a ton of upside, Rayzer-Moore burst onto the scene with a huge Freshman season at Jeffersontown HS (KY). A knockdown shooter who looks like he could easil- y grow to 6’5, Rayzer- Moore is a new member to the 15U Manimal Elite team and hasn’t quite found his role yet but he has the talent to be on D1 coach’s radar by then end of the summer.

2022 J’Marious Lindsey - KY Thoroughbreds 15U
An explosive lefty PG with a quick 1st step and a great handle, Lindsey is almost impossible to stay in front of and creates separation with ease. If his 3 pt. shot becomes more consistent Lindsey will be a huge factor for Bryan Station in the 11th region next season.

2022 G Rylee Samons – Tri State Assault 15U
Rylee stood out the most to us in this age group and never failed to impress game after game. He is a long guard with great size that can do it all. Truly scores at all 3 levels. He was putting the ball on the floor, getting past whoever he wanted, and can shoot the lights out. This kid has a high basketball IQ and we cannot wait to see if he gets any bigger because with his skills, he will be a top kid in the state of Kentucky.

2022 F Chase Mims – Louisville Magic 15U
Mims controlled the paint for his team on both ends of the floor. Big time rebounder with a strong build. He was setting solid screens for his teammates all weekend and showed off his ability to pass exceptionally well from the post.

2022 G Martez Rhodes- Champagne Heat (IL)
A bully guard that can go. He was getting to the rim off the bounce and finishing through contact. This kid is versatile on both ends of the floor and can defend multiple positions. His physical strength at the guard position has his opponents cringing when trying to guard him. He was a beast this weekend and can finish well with both hands on the drive.

2022 G Jimmy Nixon – Champagne Heat (IL) 15U
Good size guard that imposed his will and went to work offensively against whoever attempted to stop him. He has a good feel for the game and can read defenses well. This kid makes winning plays and knocked down his open 3’s in every game.

2022 G Luke Infield – D1 AAU 15U
When you watch this kid, you think of the phrase, “hand down, man down”. He hit so many 3’s this weekend including 10 in one game and 6 in the first half of the next game he played. Showed his ability to create for not just himself, but for his teammates as well. One of the best scorers/shooters we saw all weekend in the 15U division. A SNIPER that needs no room to take a shot.

2022 PG Aden Slone – D1 AAU 15U
Aden is a fun PG to watch. He may lack some height, but he has a lot of toughness, and a high IQ on the floor.  Slone loves to attack and set guys up as he showed dropping dime after dime to teammates. A highly skilled kid that has a knack for finishing when driving to the basket. He is crafty with tight handles and good court vision. A player that always makes people around him better.

2022 G Daren Lewis – MATTS Mustangs 15U
Attacking guard that has a good handle and always has his defenders off balance. A scoring guard that seemed to be putting his team on his back this weekend getting them wins.

2022 G Turrell Cleaves Jr. – Kentucky Elite 15U
An athletic guard that is at his best when going downhill. He creates well for himself and his teammates. Difficult to keep him out of the paint and he did most of his scoring from mid-range and in, however, he is a capable shooter from the perimeter. Cleaves Jr. has a promising future.

2022 G Kanye Henderson – Charlotte Court 15U
A good shooter that can catch fire quick. Felt like he was on fire all weekend. Not only was he just shooting it from the perimeter at a high clip, but also scoring from mid-range, and driving to the basket and finishing around the big men.

2022 F Tim Hall – Kentucky Elite 15U
T
im was a dog in the paint versus every team he faced.  A very athletic, high energy kid. He was one of the best rebounders we saw in the 15U division. Simply outworked his opponents.  Showed off his ability to knock down the mid-range jumper consistently.

2022 PG Jaxon Smith – D1 AAU 15U
Has become a fierce competitor. He has played up on his Varsity team for 2 years now. The experience has made him tough, and growing a few inches has given him the size and strength to push by defenders and get into creative spots to make plays. He is a willing passer, and has good vision.  He has always been able to score the ball at all three levels, but now he can do it a little easier due to his size and strength.

2022 6’4 Justin Becker – Manimal Elite 15U
A talented 4 man that can stretch the floor. Becker runs the floor well, defends the post, and can put up numbers in a hurry. He has a big frame, and a solid handle for his size. He can attack you off the bounce, shoot the 3, or post you and get a bucket. Justin will soon be a walking double double at the high school.

2022 PG Turner Buttry – Manimal Elite 15U
Buttry is a gamer and a kid that can get you a bucket when needed. Not just a PG with vision, but his ability to make shots from anywhere around the perimeter makes him difficult to prepare for. Turner shoots the ball at a high percentage and has in the gym range. Not just a catch and shoot guy, he showed that he can make shots off the dribble and he’s a highly skilled PG with the ball.

2022 F James Jewell – Manimal Elite 15U
J
ewell has grown a few inches since we saw him last, now standing at 6’7. This young man runs the floor like a deer and finished well in transition. A shot blocker that has a long wingspan, good timing, and athleticism. James impressed us with his ability to not only be a post scorer, but faced up and took his man off the bounce quite a few times in this event and finishes well at the rim.

2023 PG Jack Edelen – Manimal Elite 15U
A high IQ PG that is crafty with the ball and has tight handles. This guard finishes well in traffic, even though he’s a little smaller. Most importantly Jack causes defenses to help off when he drives and he seems to always find the open teammate for a high percentage shot.  Edelen is highly skilled and will be a PG to keep an eye on in the future.
